mousesports over F3; to APM final

mousesports advance to the Acer Predator Masters Season 2 Finals grand final following a 2-0 sweep of FlipSid3 (de_mirage 16-5, de_cbble 16-11), who dropped to the consolidation final, where they will meet E-frag.net tomorrow.

The last series of the day saw mousesports and FlipSid3 clash in the upper bracket final, with de_mirage kicking it off as the latter's pick.

They didn't get the desired start however, after getting the first two rounds and losing the third one, mousesports took everything they could in the following five rounds. Those included an ace with a 1-on-2 by Chris "chrisJ" de Jong at 4-1.

FlipSid3 eventually got a word in at 7-1, as three mousesports' players had to save, and Georgi "WorldEdit" Yaskin's opening kills pushed his team to three rounds. That was all she wrote until the end of the half however, as mousesports went over to the Terrorist side at 12-3.

After losing the second pistol round the mostly-German side bought up in the third round thanks to getting a bomb plant previously and stormed to a 16-5 victory on map one.

Map two, de_cbble, started out with mousesports picking up the early pistol round for 3-0 as Terrorists, before FlipSid3 evened it out at 3-3 due to individual play from WorldEdit and Oleksandr "Shara" Hordieyev. Nikola "NiKo" Kovač was the player to watch in the following two rounds, as he picked up five crucial kills to push his team all the way up to 8-3.

Another triple by WorldEdit pushed FlipSid3 to five rounds, although a quasi-buy from mousesports overpowered the defence on the B bombsite before Andrey "B1ad3" Gorodenskiy's side snatched the last round for 6-9.

Five rounds in a row in the second half went in favor of the Ukraine-based team as well, but stellar individual play from mousesports stopped the streak and started a new one. Crucial triples from NiKo, chrisJ, Johannes "nex" Maget, and NiKo again in the following four gunrounds meant that mousesports would go on a seven-round streak to end map two and advance to the grand final after 16-11.
